When she is not practicing veterinary care, she loves to read, cross stitch, and play video games. They also share a home with two cats, Alabama and Bagheera, along with a ball python snake, Pythagoras. Growing up in Altamonte Springs, a suburb of Orlando, she currently resides in Madison, WI with her wife Caroline, and two children, Calvin and Spencer. She enjoys determining the cause for a limp or a down disposition, detecting abnormalities in a timely fashion, and working with owners to improve the lives of their pets. Regalado says the best part of being a veterinarian is helping animals better communicate with their owners. Ever since she was just 5 years old, she knew veterinary medicine was the field for her. She was inspired to become a veterinarian after her love of animals (especially cats!) and a passion for science and learning new things. ![]() Regalado began working in the veterinary industry in 2007 as a cage cleaner, while performing in-house fecal floats. Her areas of professional interest include behavioral medicine, soft tissue surgery, and pain management.ĭr. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2016 where she pursued a small animal and exotics concentration. She graduated from the University of Florida, with a Dual Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences and Food Sciences & Human Nutrition in 2011. Marina Regalado is an Associate Veterinarian at Truesdell Animal Care Hospital and Clinic. Steele enjoys doing anything outside hiking, swimming, and chasing her kids!ĭr. When she is not practicing high-quality veterinary medicine, Dr. Steele currently resides in the Madison area with her husband Ed, two children, and black Labrador, Luna. ![]() Steele finds fulfillment in working with her clients to keep them involved in the care and medical management of their special pets, and is eager to begin forming lasting relationships with the clients and patients at Truesdell. Since 2010, she has worked in emergency medicine, handling more urgent and critical diseases. Steele has always had a growing interest in pain management, and considers veterinary surgery as her area of expertise. She also completed an emergency internship program at Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center in Waukesha, WI.ĭr. Steele earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, as well as her Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Steele is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and the Medical Director at Truesdell Animal Care Hospital and Clinic. Her first job at the age of 16 was working in the kennel at her local veterinary hospital, and as a young adult she developed a passion for helping animals while having the opportunity to work with cattle, monkeys, and zoo animals. Since she was a small child, she's felt a love of and natural connection to animals. Jacy Steele always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She’s also the mom of a brilliant nineteen year old.Dr. Her professional interests include sport horse medicine and lameness diagnosis and treatment, equine reproduction, and camelid medicine and surgery. Farris is also an FEI (International/Olympic) veterinarian in the sport of Eventing and Show Jumping. An eventer and FEI dressage rider for thirty years, Dr. Farris moved her practice to Coupeville in 2010. (She also took a year off to race sled dogs in Alaska and Canada.) Dr. Farris also specialized in sport dog and sled dog medicine for sixteen years, and was one of the earliest members of the International Sled Dog Veterinary Medicine Association. In addition to equine and camelid medicine, Dr. Farris moved to Alaska, where she worked in private practice for four years before starting her own business. After an internship at Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center in California (and a stint as Michael Jackson’s vet!), Dr. Harmony owner and founder Sandi Farris, DVM, graduated from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1995.
